I love summer storms. Unfortunately we didn't get any rain out of this one but I did see lightning. I have to say that these storms are one of my favorite things about summer. I love watching them roll in and roll out. It always amazes me how quick they come and go.
I did not try very hard to get a picture today. I had this, green beans from out garden smothered in butter and seasonings or my first green pepper. The problem with the pepper is it had already been cut. Lame I know. I will try harder, soon.
Earlier this year our Stake President asked everyone to plant a garden and to find a way to share the excess with friends and neighbors. A few of these booths have popped up around our area and it always warms my heart to see them full of beautiful, fresh, vegetables. I am also grateful since my zucchini plants didn't do well this year. I know that there will be no shortage of zucchini in our neighborhood and that I will be able to get it when I need it.
I have a habit of locking Paul out of the house, as a joke of course ;) Well tonight all three got locked out, totally by accident. I swear. When I saw the kids all ticked off through the window I knew I had to grab my camera. I realize that this is only funny to me, but know that I am rolling at this picture.
Today we listed six things on the classifieds online. The one item that I was thinking of keeping is the only thing that has sold so far. I am a little sad to see it go. It has been the backdrop for every holiday/birthday dinner since we moved here. Where am I going to tie my balloons now?
The kids have been waiting impatiently all summer to find out who their new teacher was going to be. Today was the day. We drove down and found out that Emma got the teacher she wanted and Andrew got a brand new boy teacher. They are both really excited.
Tonight I was able to pick three more grape tomatoes out of our garden. They're coming slowly but surely. Paul says they are delicious. I ate one and it was fine but then again I have nothing to compare it to since I normally pick tomatoes out of my salad!
