181/365

Here is a shot of more of my holiday knickknacks. I wanted to put the USA somewhere else but my S will not stay standing. Until I get out my sander it will stay on the piano. (Basically for the rest of the season.)

180/365

I love jewelry. I love unique yet inexpensive earrings. I love supporting artists who hand make jewelry. I love retail therapy. I love getting packages in the mail. What does all this mean? I love Etsy. Here are some earrings that I got recently. Guess what? I love them!

Here is a portion of my 4th of July decor. While riding in the car I finished binding the quilt somewhere in the middle of Wyoming. I am still tweaking things here and there but this is pretty much how it will look until September 11th.

On the Road Again

Today we spent about seven hours in the car. I took this picture in "the middle of no where Wyoming" while Paul was going 80 down the interstate. My other option was to take a picture of the kids trying to kill each other in the back seat.

Friday June 26th

Not a lot to photograph today. We spent most of the day in the car on our way to Casper Wyoming. We ate at a funky restaurant that had a million photo ops but of course I forgot my camera so all I've got are shots of our room.

Thursday June 25th

Today we went to Reptile Gardens before heading to Mt. Rushmore again. Our favorite part was their bird show. The star of the show was the bald eagle with a name I can't pronounce or spell. He was beautiful.

Wednesday June 24th

Today we went to Wall Drug. It was pretty much just what I expected, but better. The kids loved it. I paid for them to go mining for gems. It was a lot of fun, yet cheesy. What more would you expect from Wall Drug?

Tuesday June 23rd

This is what we came for! What an amazing sight. We were all awed and amazed. The kids even exclaimed that it was totally worth the drive.

Monday June 22nd

Today we made our way to Gillette, Wyoming. It was good that we stopped when we did. We were getting pretty tired of being in the car.

The first Day of Summer

Today is the first day of summer. We have had such a cool, wet spring that I am really curious to see what summer holds. Here is our mountain. It look a lot more green now than it did on the first day of spring.

Strawberry Days Carnival

I knew that I wanted to try and get a shot like this while the carnival was in town. On the way home from Grandma Fern's house I tortured my kids and Paul by making them wait in the car while I played with my camera. Ooh I'm mean!

Friday

Maggie and I went to Beauty and the Beast at the Scera Shell tonight. We had a great time. We loved the show and the snacks! I had my traditional PiƱa colada Icee along with a bunch of other goodies. This picture frightens me.

Here is one of my new flowers. I am so excited to have my terraces cleaned out so that I can plan cute flowers in them. I hope to get to the nursery soon to get a ground cover and some more pretty flowers. There will be more pictures soon.

Strawberry Days!

You can't celebrate Strawberry Days without having strawberries and cream. The kids were diggin' this stuff. I learned tonight that I prefer my cream whipped ;)

Seriously?

Does anyone else have a cat who sleeps with it's tongue out, on a regular basis? Do they curl it? My cat is just plain weird.

Cute or something your grandma would wear? That is the question. At first I thought cute now I am wondering if they should go back to Kohls.

Sunday

I only have 10 more squares to go before I can start the sewing them together. Then I will just need to add borders and this little baby is done.

Saturday

It's corn on the cob time again. Yes!

Friday

Yesterday Andrew and I spent the morning at Camp Jeremiah Johnson. Out of all of the activities he loved shooting the BB guns the most.

Thursday

After working on that little wall hanging I wanted to do something with large pieces. This kit that my parents got me for my birthday was the perfect option. The colors are so different from what I am normally drawn to but I still like it. The bonus was I didn't even have to change the thread on my machine. Sweet!

Wednesday

On Tuesday I taught Andrew how to play Yahtzee with this old game that has been around since my childhood. Emma came home while we were playing and really wanted to learn the game too. They both picked it up right away. We have been playing a lot. Even Paul has getting in on the action.

Tuesday

This is Andrew's new do for summer, at least part of it. (I've decided that I need to get over my hate for double blogging pictures. It's going to be H.A.R.D.)

Yesterday (I'm cheating again)

Both kids were just too great. I had to merge them. They clean the bathroom on Mondays and Fridays. They do the toilet, shower, mirror and the sink/counter. They have been taking turns with who cleans what. The bathroom has never stayed so clean. It's fantabulous!

6/7/09

This evening we were invited to David and Nancy's for dinner. On our way out I noticed a lot of wildflowers (Paul swears they are weeds but I refuse to call them that since they are so pretty) in an open lot. I loved these little purple guys.

Emma and I went on got Glitter Toes! Aren't they fun?!? She loves hers so much. I'm glad we got to go do this together.

June 5th

I did it. I finished my wall hanging a little ahead of schedule. I am pleased that I got it done and hope that I don't find too many obvious flaws when I have time to really look at it!

June 4th

I saw this rose bush in Sister Lewis' yard and was stunned by the beauty of the roses. The bush stands out. It can't be missed it is so bright and vibrant. Unfortunately it's one of those things that looks better when you see the whole thing. I focused on just one flower and I think that was a mistake.

Wednesday June 3rd

What can I say? These things are cool!
I guess I could add that I took this by the AF theater while we were waiting for out Pier 49 pizza. It was nice getting out and having lunch with Paul and the kids.

153/365

Lock me up. I am insane. Why did I think I could do this in one week? There are 20 pieces per square. The pieces I'm working with average 2 inches. 2 INCHES! Three squares down, six to go and then I get to play with bunch of little pieces for the sashing. So far I am on schedule. Wish me luck.

151 & 152/365

This is a desperation shot. Marius is on my poop list right now. He is shedding, he thinks my bed is all his and he had a weird fetish for shower water. I'm pretty sure I am on his poop list too because I refuse to be trained by a cat. I am getting sick of his crap but what can you do? Shoot him...calm down people, with my camera.
I've procrastinated long enough. If I have any hopes of getting this done in time for the 4th of July I need to start now and I need to hustle. I've just begun cutting it out and realized that some of the pieces are going to be tiny. I only have about eleventy billion more pieces to cut out.
