I know this picture sucks but,

it is one of my favorite from the day. It was so cute watching them hold hands and skate together. It was Emma that offered to help Andrew. It warms my heart when they are nice to each other.

Time to catch up again!

December 14th. One good thing about getting a lot of snow is it clears the air and makes for beautiful sunsets.
Dec. 15th
Tonight we spent almost four hours driving from the pediatricians, to urgent care to the hospital and back to urgent care because Emma had fallen on the ice the morning before. After all of that her x-rays showed she was perfectly fine. She did not have a broken elbow.
Dec. 16th
Emma got to perform some of the ballroom dances that she has been learning at the her Christmas party. She did great. We had a lot of fun watching her strut her stuff.
Dec 17th

Paul took my car up to go skiing. I was promised a car wash in return. We love the rainbow soap!
Dec 18th

Tonight we had a family game night. Marius got most of the attention, even though he didn't want it. We love our fuzzy buddy.
Dec 19th

Paul took the kids to a BYU basketball game and I stayed home and wrapped presents. IT was lovely having several hours of silence. Marius decided to help me wrap presents. He's a goofball.
Dec 20th

This was the last Sunday before Christmas. We got dressed in our new, fancy, Christmas clothes and took our traditional family picture in front of the tree.
Dec 21st

The first day of winter! Can you find the "G"?
Dec 22nd

Today was the last day of the 2009 school year. This is what we gave the teachers this year. Who wouldn't like a Kneader's gift basket? (Hopefully not their teachers.)
Dec 23rd

This is a Radko ornament that I got at Bath and Body Works a long time ago. I think it was when I was working there. The kids love it. One thing I do like about Christmas is all the memories that go along with the ornaments and decorations. They all tell a story.
Dec 24th

The children were all nestled snug in their beds, however they were no where close to being asleep. Santa came and got everything done earlier this year but it doesn't mean we got any more sleep. We were all way too excited.
Dec 25th

Merry Christmas. I think the kids were pleased with what Santa had brought them. What do you think? ;)
Dec. 26th

Oh how I love after Christmas sales. I got all of this fabric at 50% off. It is enough for two complete quilts and it was under $100!!! I was so excited. It felt like Christmas, oh wait...
Dec 27th

I saw the cutest Disney Perler bead kits at Robert's this year. I love me some Little Mermaid so I got that set for Emma. She went right to work on Ariel. How awesome is this? I love it. If she doesn't share I might have to buy another set so she can make me my own Ariel.
Dec 28th

Today the tree came down and so did the rest of the Christmas stuff. I can only handle it for so long LOL! I wouldn't mind the keeping decorations like the nativities and the Santa pictures but the tree dwarfing my living room drives me insane. Our house looks very bare right now but it's okay. I did get my shelf set for winter. Doesn't it look icy? I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Sunday Dec 13th

"Wake up! I need attention and love. Seriously if you don't get up now I am going to jump on you and stab you with my claws." This is how Marius woke up Paul on Sunday morning. There's nothing like living with a cat.

Saturday Dec. 12

Today we ran all over creation Christmas shopping, eating out and watching a Christmas Carol in 3-D. This is the only picture that was taken all day long though. Sad isn't it?

Dec 11th

One thing I love about Christmas are the unexpected gifts and goodies and Paul brings home.

December 10th

I am doing a lot less decorating this year. I only have my nativity sets out, my shelf is decorated and so is my hutch. I love changing out this shelf each holiday season.

Dec 9

It's too damn cold.

Dec 8

Snow plows. They are a necessary evil. They are loud. They wake me up and when I hear them I know there is snow, but they also make things a lot better, for the most part. Winter is here.

Dec 7

Snow. It came. It sucks. It's cold. Poor kids.

Dec 6

This is Karen and Carla. Each year they throw a ward Christmas party/open house. Tonight was their party for 2009. The kids love going and eating all the yummy finger foods. Thank you ladies for a fun night!

Dec 5

Tonight we went up to the Energy Solutions Arena to watch BYU play basketball against San Francisco University. They had a Jazz Mustang on display that Andrew thought was cool. BYU won the game. I won't say it was tons of fun though. We had to move several times before we got good seats. It's a good thing it wasn't crowded.

Dec 4

Tonight we started decorating our tree. It didn't end well. One of my ornaments broke and the kids clumped everything in certain sections. Oh well...

Dec 3

I still need to do some trimming to square this puppy up and figure out the backing but otherwise it is done. I can't wait to see it quilted. I think it will be adorable. I would love to try this someday with pinks.

Dec 2

It's that time again. I am trying to plan what outfits we can wear for Christmas pictures. I think this is what we are going with.

Dec 1, 2009

Today is December 1st and I really have no complaints. There is no snow. It's still sunny and I'm not freezing to death. What more can I ask for?

November 30

There are days when I woman needs a pie. A whole pie. Today was that day. I had a Razzelberry in the freezer taunting me so I baked it and started eating it after 9:00 pm. I love Razzelberry pies. I had some at Thanksgiving and it just wasn't enough. I fixed that.

November 29th

This is currently my most favorite line of fabric ever. I have three quilt kits that I have bought or put together that uses this line. I'm in love.

I will update tomorrow

I know I am slacking. I am so ready to be done with this. Anyway from here on out I think I will only post weekly. See you tomorrow.

11/28/09

Today was the BYU vs. Utah Utes game. It went into overtime but WE WON!!! It was awesome. Go Cougars!

November 27th

Black Friday!!!

This is the 3rd annual black Friday outing for Paul and I. I always look forward to this day. We had a rocky start (Me wanting to go early, Paul wanting to sleep) but it the end it was worth our efforts to go out in the crowds.

Nov. 26

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 25th

Have we mentioned that we have a lot of leaves? While Paul and I raked and bagged for 3 hours Andrew made the most of the ones we hadn't gotten to yet. He stacked them all up in the corner and then he and Emma took turns hiding in them. After that the kids took turns jumping off the fence into the pile. Awesome!

November 24

We can't get enough of Cosmo. The basketball Cosmo is very athletic and so fun to watch. I can't wait to see more of his moves as the season goes on.

November 23rd

I bought this kit a couple of months ago. I love it and love how quick it went together but was a little disappointed because it was much smaller than the one they had displayed in the shop. I went back in to buy some more fabric so I could extend it and they were sold out of the fabrics that were in the kit. I sewed some more strips on and the window pane chenille (that I got as a substitute) made the fabric pucker. At this point I am still debating my options.

326/365

Holy cow this year is almost gone!

Tonight Emma and I made muddy buddies together. It was our first time making them. She was a big help. The only mistake we made was not making a full batch. They were delish and we all want more.

Saturday

The kids got to meet LaVell Edwards at the BYU game on Saturday. Later we found out that he knows their grandma Fern. It's too bad we didn't have that info while we were chatting with him. If he had known he might not have been in such a hurry to get back to his box with his kettle corn.

Friday

Friday night we left the kids over and David and Nancy's so Paul and I could go out for dinner. Nancy had tons of cookies for them to decorate. They really outdid themselves decorating. It looked like we came back to Santa's workshop.

Thrusday

Emma won a medal at Reflections tonight for her picture of leaves that she took in our backyard. She was so excited!

Wednesday

I can't believe this is the only picture I took all day. I wanted it for a product review for my other blog. (which you can read all about over there) I really wish I had something else to use today though.

Tuesday

We spent a lot of time last night and tonight helping Emma clean her room. It had gotten so bad that we had to intervene. We re-arranged the furniture so she has more room in her floor for games and fun. She is so happy to have her room clean again.

Monday

I think I may be finished. The reason I say I think is because it is suppose to have a red border and I don't think I like it. So for now it is done. If I choose to add the border I have another hour or so of work. No biggie. There is no way that I will be able to have the quilted before Christmas so it is going to hang on my rack just like this.

Sunday

One of our family traditions is watching Amazing Race together on Sunday nights. Here are the kids right before we started this weeks episode. This season has fun because they went to Sweden. We were able to tell Emma "you rode on that train". It's fun to see them in places you've been. I really love the memories that we are creating as a family.

Saturday

We didn't get as lucky today. I woke up to snow in our yard. At lease it didn't stick to the roads or stay around for long.

Friday

Eww. Ick. Yuck. NOOOOOO! We dodged a bullet. Look how close it came to our yard. I am not ready for this yet. I hate snow.

316/365 Thursday

Leaves, leaves and more leaves. Tonight we tried to rake the leaves but we didn't get very far. There were just too many. We did get a huge pile that the kids had a blast playing in.

315/365 Wed.

Today I washed our sheets. Marius thinks our bed is his bed. He looked so put out when I took him off the down comforters and put him straight on the mattress. He's a total spoiled turd.

314/365

See, leaves are charming and provide hours of entertainment. Emma asked me to come take a picture outside. I was on the phone so I handed her my camera. When she came back I checked her pictures and was surprised to see what she had done. By that time she was back out touching her peace sign up (the leaves fall so fast it was already getting covered) and that's when I snapped her picture. FYI-One leg of the peace sign is hiding behind her.
