I know this picture sucks but,
it is one of my favorite from the day. It was so cute watching them hold hands and skate together. It was Emma that offered to help Andrew. It warms my heart when they are nice to each other.

Time to catch up again!
December 14th. One good thing about getting a lot of snow is it clears the air and makes for beautiful sunsets.
Dec. 15th Tonight we spent almost four hours driving from the pediatricians, to urgent care to the hospital and back to urgent care because Emma had fallen on the ice the morning before. After all of that her x-rays showed she was perfectly fine. She did not have a broken elbow.

Emma got to perform some of the ballroom dances that she has been learning at the her Christmas party. She did great. We had a lot of fun watching her strut her stuff.

Paul took my car up to go skiing. I was promised a car wash in return. We love the rainbow soap!

Tonight we had a family game night. Marius got most of the attention, even though he didn't want it. We love our fuzzy buddy.

Paul took the kids to a BYU basketball game and I stayed home and wrapped presents. IT was lovely having several hours of silence. Marius decided to help me wrap presents. He's a goofball.

This was the last Sunday before Christmas. We got dressed in our new, fancy, Christmas clothes and took our traditional family picture in front of the tree.

Today was the last day of the 2009 school year. This is what we gave the teachers this year. Who wouldn't like a Kneader's gift basket? (Hopefully not their teachers.)
This is a Radko ornament that I got at Bath and Body Works a long time ago. I think it was when I was working there. The kids love it. One thing I do like about Christmas is all the memories that go along with the ornaments and decorations. They all tell a story.

The children were all nestled snug in their beds, however they were no where close to being asleep. Santa came and got everything done earlier this year but it doesn't mean we got any more sleep. We were all way too excited.

Merry Christmas. I think the kids were pleased with what Santa had brought them. What do you think? ;)

Oh how I love after Christmas sales. I got all of this fabric at 50% off. It is enough for two complete quilts and it was under $100!!! I was so excited. It felt like Christmas, oh wait...

I saw the cutest Disney Perler bead kits at Robert's this year. I love me some Little Mermaid so I got that set for Emma. She went right to work on Ariel. How awesome is this? I love it. If she doesn't share I might have to buy another set so she can make me my own Ariel.

Today the tree came down and so did the rest of the Christmas stuff. I can only handle it for so long LOL! I wouldn't mind the keeping decorations like the nativities and the Santa pictures but the tree dwarfing my living room drives me insane. Our house looks very bare right now but it's okay. I did get my shelf set for winter. Doesn't it look icy? I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Tonight we went up to the Energy Solutions Arena to watch BYU play basketball against San Francisco University. They had a Jazz Mustang on display that Andrew thought was cool. BYU won the game. I won't say it was tons of fun though. We had to move several times before we got good seats. It's a good thing it wasn't crowded.

Have we mentioned that we have a lot of leaves? While Paul and I raked and bagged for 3 hours Andrew made the most of the ones we hadn't gotten to yet. He stacked them all up in the corner and then he and Emma took turns hiding in them. After that the kids took turns jumping off the fence into the pile. Awesome!

I bought this kit a couple of months ago. I love it and love how quick it went together but was a little disappointed because it was much smaller than the one they had displayed in the shop. I went back in to buy some more fabric so I could extend it and they were sold out of the fabrics that were in the kit. I sewed some more strips on and the window pane chenille (that I got as a substitute) made the fabric pucker. At this point I am still debating my options.

I think I may be finished. The reason I say I think is because it is suppose to have a red border and I don't think I like it. So for now it is done. If I choose to add the border I have another hour or so of work. No biggie. There is no way that I will be able to have the quilted before Christmas so it is going to hang on my rack just like this.

Sunday
One of our family traditions is watching Amazing Race together on Sunday nights. Here are the kids right before we started this weeks episode. This season has fun because they went to Sweden. We were able to tell Emma "you rode on that train". It's fun to see them in places you've been. I really love the memories that we are creating as a family.

See, leaves are charming and provide hours of entertainment. Emma asked me to come take a picture outside. I was on the phone so I handed her my camera. When she came back I checked her pictures and was surprised to see what she had done. By that time she was back out touching her peace sign up (the leaves fall so fast it was already getting covered) and that's when I snapped her picture. FYI-One leg of the peace sign is hiding behind her.
